We have a board meeting Tuesday. Pull together a one-pager on where we landed on cyber-insurance and the SOC 2 question.

Drafting now. Pulling from your Aug 14 risk review, the broker call on Aug 22, and Derek's memo from last Friday. Want it in the board template or as a plain doc?

Done. One thing for you: the broker asked twice for a written limit-of-liability decision. Not on file yet. I drafted three options. Pick one before Tuesday and I'll route signatures.
01 - What Elmer learns from

Your business already has a memory. Elmer just reads it.

No cold-start

Emails

Threads with vendors, partners, ops leads. The decisions that happened in writing.

Recorded calls

Leadership meetings, 1:1s, vendor demos, board prep. Transcribed, summarised, searchable.

Decisions

What was chosen, when, by whom, and the reasoning behind it. Stays with you.

Strategy docs

Plans, OKRs, vendor comparisons, MSAs. The artefacts your team already produces.

02 - What Elmer does for you

Six jobs your CTO would do if they had infinite time.

01

Answers from memory

"What did we decide about X?" "Who owns Y?" Cited answers from your own meetings - not the public internet.

02

Pre-meeting briefs

Before each leadership meeting, a 1-page brief: what's open, what's overdue, what the team said last time.

03

Tracks action items

Pulls action items from every call, watches them across weeks, flags slippage before your CTO has to ask.

04

Drafts the boring stuff

Vendor RFP responses, monthly status updates, board-ready summaries. You edit; Elmer drafts.

05

Routes the urgent stuff

Knows when something needs Derek directly vs. when it can wait for the next meeting. Doesn't cry wolf.

06

Quarterly recap

Auto-drafts your quarterly review using actual decisions, actual outcomes, actual dollars. Saves a weekend.

03 - Ask Elmer anything you've discussed

04 - Privacy & trust

Your business knows things. They stay yours.

🔒

Private to your business

Your data is isolated. Nothing is pooled with other clients. Nothing leaves Canada unless you ask.

Never trains shared models

Elmer's underlying model never trains on your data. Your prompts and answers aren't used to improve anyone else's tool.

📋

Audit-trailed

Every question Elmer answers shows you the source documents and timestamps. Nothing is invented.

You can delete it all

Source-by-source delete. Whole-instance delete. Same business day. No retention games.

Heads-up · totally optional

Don't want AI in the room? That's a real answer too.

Elmer is an opt-in add-on for retainer clients. Every retainer can run with Elmer turned off - no setup, no ingestion, no AI in your meetings.

The fractional CTO experience is identical either way. Same Derek. Same meetings. Same WhatsApp access. Same monthly summary - just written by a human instead of a model.

Opt out before kickoff
Tell us at onboarding. Elmer is never set up. Nothing changes about how the retainer runs.
Or opt out mid-flight
Already a retainer client with Elmer? You can turn it off at month-end. Your data is exported and deleted.
No pricing penalty
The retainer price is the same with or without Elmer. We don't upsell you onto AI. Ever.
AI isn't always the answer
Sometimes the right move is to fix three things you already have first. We will tell you so.
05 - Common questions

The stuff every owner asks before saying yes.

?
Who can see what Elmer sees?
By default, you (the owner) plus the executive team you invite. Permissions are role-based. We can scope Elmer to a single department if that fits how you operate.
?
What if a sensitive document gets ingested by accident?
Source-level delete is instant and reversible only by you. We also exclude folders or email labels you flag during onboarding.
?
Does Elmer record meetings without consent?
No. Elmer only ingests recordings your team has already made - and we follow your existing consent practices. Nothing about Elmer changes how you record.
?
What happens to my data if I leave the retainer?
We export everything Elmer ingested (raw + indexed) and delete the instance. Standard turnaround: 5 business days.
?
Does Elmer replace my CTO?
No. Elmer makes your fractional CTO 10× more useful at 11pm. The senior judgment still comes from a human.
?
Is Elmer included in the $10K retainer?
Yes - when you opt in. No extra fee. We're deliberately not building an upsell ladder.
